I am so grateful for the honor of serving as your city councilmember for the past four years. I was sworn into office on January 2021 and was just re-elected to my second and final term to represent the Westside from ‘Ewa to Ka’ena Point.
After serving four years as a State House Representative (2014 -2018) for the area from Kalaeloa to Ma’ili, I did not know what it would feel like to represent a much larger area. My district covers three State Senate districts and five State House districts with a little over 137,000 people.
Our office vision is to raise the standard of service, work collaboratively, eliminate excuses, and bring measurable and consistent results. We have applied our vision to all of our efforts, policy proposals, and projects. We couldn’t do what we do without strong and active community members fighting for what we need and rallying our voices for the Westside!

Chief of Staff | Meeka
Has a masters in public health administration and worked on policy and legislative initiatives at the Hawaii State Capitol as well as four years at the Honolulu City Council. She has a high capacity and refined skills with constituent concerns, team scheduling, community projects, policy advising, and communications pieces.
Communications Director | Kaiwi
Has worked with the office for four years and is talented at writing and communicating. He handles all of the outward-facing correspondence with the community and the media, including press releases, calls to action via email blasts, newsletters, public town halls, and any written letters or responses.
Community Caseworker | Kika
Is a Waianae High School graduate who is passionate about serving the community. She is well-respected by her peers and handles all the constituent concerns, community projects, departmental concerns, neighborhood issues, park improvements, and more with great dedication and care.
Office Manager | Kathryn
Has a background in public administration, and she started as an intern at the Honolulu City Council. She handles the councilmember’s schedule, attendance at events, office emails, constituent phone calls, and coordination with other councilmembers’ offices.
